In the spirit of the Olympics, six Ivy+ alumni associations will engage in a friendly competition during the first week of the 2016 Summer Olympics, August 8 through August 12, 2016. However, the Alumpics will not test the physical prowess of these alumni associations, but rather their social media mettle. Flexing their marketing and media muscles will be staff members from Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton, and Stanford.

Posting an alumni-related photo (or, an “alumpic”) daily to their Instagram accounts, the associations will battle to get the highest number of likes on their photos each weekday. At the end of each day, three institutions will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. The alumni association with the greatest medal count at the end of the competition will be declared the Alumpics champion.
